#24: Exploring Thought Patterns and Doubt Through the Head Center Human Design [Discover Who You Are Series] 

Before we jump into today's episode, I wanted to let you know, for anyone that is an online business owner, coach or course creator in some way, I am participating in an upcoming summit that is all about the mid year reboot. This summit is going to cover many topics about how to reset yourself. Now that it's the middle of the year, we're halfway through 2025, which is really crazy to me when, when I give it some thought. How to make decisions that are really connected to your mind body connection and not just making decisions from the mind, which is what most people do most of the time. Head Center Human Design Overview 

All right, so on to today's episode. We are in the middle of the Alignment series. All about your relationship with yourself through the lens of human design and the centers in human design. Now I've said on the other episodes this will be a little bit of a repeat in case you're just joining in now. But I've said that this is not about teaching human design in its form. This is really about sharing some questions and thoughts and perspectives to support you on your journey that are linked with some of the themes in human design.  

If you're not already familiar, human design is one of the tools that I use. It's really an incredible tool and resource to be able to understand yourself, understand your energy, how you move about the world and how you best make decisions. All of these things they're all connected. Part of what I wanted to do here, even if you're not into human design, it doesn't matter. This is about sharing some of those themes that come up. Because I see them regardless of if I'm doing a reading, some with someone or doing one on one work and coaching with them and advisory in some way. It doesn't matter. If we talk about human design, these themes are still there. So I wanted to share these themes with you and to give you some support and hopefully help you reflect over these summer months, to open you up to a different way of thinking about them and shift your relationship with yourself. Because that's what all of this is about.  

With that, a couple of caveats. I will say please take what resonates and leave the rest. And if you feel really called in one area and not in another, that's great. You know where to pay attention and spend your time reflecting. There's no checkbox that you have to make. Not a specific thing that you have to do with any of this. It's really about seeing where you are and an invitation to continue your own self growth and your own journey.

If you are someone that's been interested in it, I just wanted to share that that that's what I'm using and incorporating into some of this.  

We already covered the Identity center, which is all around purpose, direction, self love and self trust. We also covered the Throat center, which is all about expression and voice and manifestation and taking action on things. And for today's episode, we're going to be talking about the energy of the head center. The head center is all about your thinking and the mind. It speaks for the whole chart. It if you don't have alignment in a certain area of your chart, it will come through the head center as what's called in human design terms, the not self. I just say that in that case, you would be not in alignment.  

So anywhere where you have a low expression or your energy is not in alignment for you, those doubts are going to come up through the head center and they're going to be part of the thoughts and the replays that you have in your mind. I've talked a lot about the mind on this podcast. Your mind is incredibly powerful in many, many ways.  

With this center, what I want you to be aware of is: 

What are the thoughts that are going through your mind?  

Do you have an energy that is all around worry and doubt, or do you allow yourself to be open and curious and trust your knowing? 

So if you have consistent access to energy in the head center, you may be a little more fixed with your thoughts and your direction in certain ways. It can look that way, especially with children. One of my daughters has a, has a defined head center. She has consistent access to her own energy there. And it's definitely different because she knows what she knows and that's how she wants it to be. And then if you have it as inconsistent energy, if it's a white shape in your chart, you may find yourself more open and curious and willing to explore things in different ways. But again, it depends on what your mind is telling you.  

Paying Attention to Your Thoughts in the Head Center Human Design 

The thing that I really want to bring up here is, and I've said before, in different ways, I know, but really paying attention to what are the thought patterns that are happening for you? What are the thought patterns that are showing up? And as we go through the themes each of these weeks, you can also explore those thought patterns from that theme and see what they're saying in your mind.  

For example, if we look at the identity center, which was covered a couple weeks ago, if you have certain thoughts or feelings or perspectives on your relationship with your direction and your purpose, that's coming out through the mind and through the head center. Same thing for your self love and self trust.  

What are you telling yourself?  

What is your brain telling you?  

One of the ways that you can explore and see what your brain is telling you is to start observing and writing things down. If you start paying attention to your thoughts, which if you want to set that intention, you'll be able to do, you start paying attention. It doesn't have to be every minute of every day, but when you catch yourself with a thought, that's something like, oh, I don't know why I always do xyz, it always ends up badly or oh, I really hate that I do this. Why can't I just do that instead? If you find yourself telling yourself these types of things or worrying about the same things over and over, start to track those, whichever ones that you feel repeat a lot of the time. If you always say I'm not good enough or I don't deserve this or I want xyz, but it's never going to happen for me, whatever those things are that keep repeating themselves for you, pay attention to that and just jot them down. Start writing them down in the notes app on your phone or keep a little notebook around or something. Just take notes of the top few that you find are always repeating for you and start to pay attention to that. And once you do that, you can work on replacing it with something else.  

Now, this episode isn't meant to tell you what to do with each of these things. It's more an open invitation to help you explore and see what your relationship is with this theme and with this area. But that is something that you can do with the mind and just start to record, observe and record what is your mind telling you. And so this can happen also, for any doubts that you have, they can show up again in one of the other themes, or they can show up as you just circling around and circling around and spiraling with your own thoughts, whatever. Again, those themes are if it's around not enoughness or not loving yourself or not thinking that you're worthy in some way, it'll all show up through your mind, through the head center.  

Conclusion and Reflection on the Head Center Human Design

The invitation here to get curious to love your mind even as you're reframing it and rewiring it in some way. And I will say actually in the Mind Body Connection Unlocked book that I have coming out in the next few months, there's a lot in there around reflections and prompts with taking a look first at the self and then the mind is the next piece of it, the relationship with the mind and what it's telling you. So there is a whole process that you can go through with all of this. But even without that, just take a look and start to observe what your mind is telling you. And then you'll be able to see and connect to different themes from these different episodes that we have in this series. And then you'll be able to take the work deeper, right? It's always about one step at a time. You're not climbing the mountain all at once. So find out in this time and space what feels best for you to explore what you're most open to exploring right now and go with that, and then you'll see where it takes you. So that's what I have for you today.  

Start paying attention, see where you have the doubts, start to record where you have the negative thought patterns. And it's an invitation to explore and see what themes come up for you that are not in alignment, that are in a low expression, and that you want to shift and change in some way. Because that is one of the keys to being able to change your life, to work from a higher place, to work from a place of groundedness and strength and higher vibration and all of these things. There's work to be done with rewiring and shifting in some way so that you can allow yourself to be in the way that you really want to be.
